Multicultural merchandise

Support us by purchasing items from our first multicultural collection, CulturCats  'One world, many purrspectives!' created with local Japanese artist, Jonatan Bando.

Late in 2023, we asked Jonatan if he could create an illustration for Whistler Multicultural Society. Jonatan's love of cats, and drawing cats, started a conversation about showing different cultures through cats. We asked all WMS staff and board members to choose how they would like their culture cat to be represented. The result is nine cat illustrations in different national dress - reflecting our multicultural team, and celebrating the value and strengths of diversity.

CulturCats represent staff and board members from Japan, Hong Kong, India, Slovakia, the Philippines, Canada, Mexico, South Korea and the UK. Together, we illustrate the value of diverse perspectives and the importance of welcoming our differences...
